Had an interesting experience today in an area heavily patrolled area by stopwatch wielding leos. It's a 35mph zone where 45mph would be appropriate and probably slow.

In that it is annoying to drive that slow I set the cruise control for this rolling two lane highway and to my surprise the car started to downshift on the downhill portions to maintain the speed. Having only previously owned toyotas and hondas with cruise controls I had never seen a car control gravity induced speed increases.

 

I've noticed this in normal automatic mode too. There's a big hill on my way home that my Toyota would barrel down w/out DAC turned on. The 991 controls itself to the point where it almost feels slow by the time I reach bottom (ha!)
