Thank you HotHonda and Brianja, just ordered the Skene. I have the sport design bumper as well, but no x51. The black center insert was annoying me, this will do the trick. Rep points added!

I've been using the tow hook mount now for almost a year and really like it. The off center positioning of the plate doesn't bother me at all, and I can remove it very easily: DE track events, when washing and polishing, when driving out of state on trips (which I do often). I just like to have the option of the cleaner look if I want it.

That looks really clean! Where did you get it done? Do you figure this is legal?

Wow that looks awesome. Looks by far the best option so far. I'm going to roll the dice with no plate as long as I can. But seeing this option defiantly relieves some anxiety

I went 1/2 way only, removing bottom portion of plate only. thinking this would be semi acceptable to LEO since you can't read the bottom part of license plate if you have a frame on it anyway. $5 aluminum angle bar at hardware, 2 screws and 20 minutes.

Agree that it looks awesome and clean, but wonder if it is legal. I am thinking that as the municipalities need revenue, they will ticket you for anything they can, including mutilation of state property.

In NY they can (and will) ticket you if you have a license plate frame that covers the "Empire State" lettering on the bottom of the plate. They would definitely have a problem with STALKER's solution, I'm afraid.

Im sure its not by the book, but I figure its better then having nothing.
We see how long it takes for me to get a ticket, so far so good and I have passed a lot of cops and gone through a laser trap. Keeping my fingers crossed.
