Btw - will this be your first porsche?
First Porsche yes. It feels like a right of passage. I remember watching Weird Science over and over and lusting over the 928 as a teenager.

I think I may know the dealer you were kicking the dust at... That is where I have my order in...
Rockville Audi? There is a lovely CS4 that was almost a winner. I bought the CS2 from Pepe in NY which is also very good dealership and literally brand new..

Great story and congrats on the new ride!

I also joined the 991 club this week. Not the most popular color (Lime gold), but the deal I got was enough to make me go colorblind. Like you, a grin from ear to ear appears on my face every time I fire it up in the morning! Enjoy in good health

Very nice. RS5 is a great car, but nowhere close to a sports car. It is a quick GT car. I was very surprised with the understeer despite the quattro. Almost bought one, ended up not doing. Enjoy your Porsche in good health!

Congratulations to you! You made a great choice. Do not fear the mileage on it. I'm sure it was well loved, and unlike others here, you don't have to baby it for the first few weeks!

I had a similar tail. Had purchased a 997 C2s cab only 10 months earlier. Was still in honeymoon territory. Went to meet a friend who was a salesman, just to take a look. Remind me to stay out of expensive watch stores. Congrats. It is a great color. Drive it in great health!

I bought the 2013 Audi S5 Prestige Cabrio (amazing car) before trying a 991 (as you said, stunning car). Doing aftermarket work on the S or RS models still will not bring them up to the overall 991 performance level. You did good and stayed out of my mistake. Congrats. This is the one you want, as you already know.

I can tell you that your 991 will be just fine! That's why this is my 5th Carrera! Love that German engineering! Enjoy!

Oh man I had the same choice in colors as you and opted for GT as well. I just locked my custom order. was going to do platinum silver. when i saw it next to GT Silver by chance, then the gold was obvoius in the platinum silver. until then i hadn't seen it.
