topping off the oil yesterday and I thought this was odd..?

3.4 manual with 8900 miles (original oil).

Anyone else have this? What to make of it?

That's evaporative water form the engine mixed with the oil on the cap. Not too unusual during cool seasons and short drives.

VAG caps 2005 and up are all essentially the same.
Guys are fitting 991 caps to there VW's and Audi's without modification soooooooooooooo...

Id imaging any of the aftermarket billet caps would fit just fine and alleviate the issue

I used to see that kind of moisture in my old air cooled 911s, but I'm surprised at a 991 doing that except with a lot of driving that doesn't bring it up to temperature. Here's mine at 5,500 with original oil. You might want to make sure the seal is tight.

Cold engine / original oil:

3600 miles w/ some moisture droplets + coolant level is within spec.
