TriState Area Meetup (NY/NJ/CT)

How about we all meet, let's say at the gas station after the GW Bridge?
That should be convenient enough for everybody, and then drive to Bear Mountain all together?
Those who can stay for lunch can grab lunch together, those who can't, will drive back, but at least we get to meet!
Now, it's a matter of finding a date....how about Saturday of next week, April 6th?

I'd be more likely to be able to join on the following Saturday, April 13th AM, but if the 6th works for the group... have fun!
I'm very familiar with the bear mountain area and the roads / photo spots up there, so if I can help with planning for you guys, let me know. I've worked on organizing a number of large group drives in that area through the years.
Personally, I would recommend meeting up a bit further north than the GWB. Maybe the last rest area in NJ or something (or even up more in Harriman State Park - I have an excellent spot for a huge group to get together). That trip up the Palisades is too tempting to speed with a group and that road is too well patrolled to misbehave much.
If you need a recommendation for a good place in the area for lunch I would recommend Birdsall House in Peekskill. They have good food and a very good beer list. The management if awesome and they have been very helpful to me the last 3-4 years with working out a lunch for my RS4 drive up in the area.

I might be in,,, keep me posted. I also like the idea of 'north of the bridge' were we would probably be able to get past 3rd gear. I live up near Bear Mountain but on the other side of the Hudson River.

Also, Miracle Mile sounds good, although we wouldn't have many chances of driving there, more of a 'coffee meeting'....
Unless you know all those twisties up past Huntington....

For those of you who haven't already done so... Join the PCA and do this kind of thing frequently. I've been a member of the Metro NY chapter for almost 13 years and we do some nice treks (one coming up in June, one in Aug and an overnighter in Oct.)
