FTPO: E92 M3 to C4S. Speechless...

Hi all:

New member here! I kinda hoped my first post would be catchy and substantive but the experience so far has me absolutely speechless. I dove into Porsche ownership over the weekend and leased a 991 C4S with 7MT. I am a long time M3 owner having owned E36, E46 and E92 variants. I am absolutely in love with my C4S and really glad i threw down the extra $$$.

Very first thing I did today was get the windows tinted. I have been getting some mean/hateful looks from people!! What a bunch of haters. Anyhow, not going to stop my parade. The AWD and the handling is wildly different than what i'm used to but it's pretty easy to get on board with! Haven't really opened it up much yet, but man, can this thing corner.

Here are some pics for now. Will keep the group posted on mods and a more detailed reviews/comparo with other cars i've driven.

Looking forward to contributing and learning with the community.

Thanks!

Pacific Northwest - Seattle/Tacoma to be more specific. It's not a rough neighborhood. I think they're just mad it's not a prius!

haha, awesome - and welcome! Yeah, I'm up near the border and if you aren't in a jacked up pickup truck here, a 20 year old beater, or a prius, you just aren't part of the "in" crowd. Don't get em get you down, and remember maybe it's all just in your head! That is, until you have people following you down the highway leaning half-out of their vehicles at 75 mph taking pictures of your car. Nah, that wouldn't really happen, right?

Really, it's a game-changer, being a 991 owner, but you are in a for a treat. It's really something special. See you around and thanks for the hello!

P.S. your car is gorgeous!!!

Welcome! Wicked ride man...love it!

I've fallen in love with my C4S..over and over again, every day
... What a vehicle it is...truly glued to the pavement...put it in sport plus and take it to twisty hills...you'll be thrilled and amazed! Congrats and enjoy!

don't worry, there are others in seattle who've got your back!

actually, there are a bunch of great 911 and porsche enthusiasts around these parts who help offset the angry prius crowd. beautiful 991, enjoy!

And since coffee is so big out there, I will let you in on something that probably everyone else in the 991 world figured out, and I just discovered after a year - when you open the chrome trim to reveal the cup holders and then pop one or both out, you can move the center strip back into its original position - keeping the look of the trim, cutting down on rattles, and locking the holders in place. Who knew

Very nice car.....congratulations!

Watch in the NW regional forum section of 6 Speed for the "Exotics at Redmond Town Center" events held Saturdays (weather dependent)

Lots of Porsche owner participation & you will fit right in.

Congrats on your new toy. Love the way the 991 looks in white. Allot of people initially were not pleased with the way the new wing looked but I think its gorgeous. Enjoy your car and who cares what others think.

Congrats. I'm coming from a E90 M3. Seems like a lot of M3 owners are stepping up to 991s

I agree. We have a lot of those around too. Around here, some of those are driven by real greenies, but the rest are just people that like the price and can tell their neighbors that they can afford a real car but they are just being " environmentally conscious", LOL!
