2013 991 Carrera 4S Top Speed run on the Autobahn - 5 mph more than Porsche claims

Beautiful thanks
When I set the 9500ci display to speed, looking for discrepancy between Escort GPS and Porsche speedometer - haven't found where they separate yet...

I was advised that the crew had GPS onboard via a V-Box and the speedometer in that particular vehicle was about 1 mph slow at 190. Actually, obtained 191 mph with the car.

True for BMWs...not sure about Porsche. It's been pretty accurate so far. As Nicoli said, I've checked across 9500xi as well and it's pretty accurate.

My 996 TT speedo reads 1mph faster than the GSP calculated speed (non Porsche GPS). Last September I had a rental 991S Coupe to 183mph on the Autobahn and it was scary.

I've never had any car I've owned be accurate when comparing speedo to GPS.
My Ruf 996 GT2 showed 207mph on the speedo when GPS was 202mph.
Worst error was a Gallardo that did a GPS 177mph when showing 190mph.
Best speedo was a 700bhp Nissan GTR R34, which showed 200mph on the speedo when GPS was 199mph, but this was only because I had deliberately slightly over-sized the tyres (295/35 front and rear).

I've been told that in Germany when you advertise the performance info on a car every car produced must meet those numbers out of the box (so to speak). Therefore, I would guess that the numbers/speeds/performance on a 991S should exceed what Porsche says as even their engines have a plus/minus horsepower range so virtually all new cars should exceed what's specified/advertised. 5 mph is barely 2.7% above specified top speed.
