LED Headlights
#46
Although, we all know must of us that can afford a 100K+ car can afford the LEDs for 3k, its a matter of practicality. Just cause I can afford a $10 can of coke, do I buy one? You'd also figure LEDs would be cheaper too, but who knows. Porsche just wants to rip you.

LEDs are about 1500-1600 more than the Xenon PDLS package. I chose them for two reasons: PDLS plus gives you the auto high beam dimming function and it is linked into the GPS to activate sidelights at intersections to prevent getting T-boned. I thought PDLS plus was expensive but somewhat justified for those reasons.
My two cents.

This increases the level of security and drive comfort at night. Besides, xenon will vanish, LED will be the standard very soon. This made me think the option is a reasonable expense, more reasonable the the aluminum pedals for example, which I got as well.
Of course the price is ridiculous. But no more ridiculous then the price of every other option Porsche is selling to us. I'm just curious: Did one of the sceptics ordered his car with the painted key fob (335$), air vents in leather (1710$) or sport chrono dial in a different color (500$)?

Got the key fob and its case, X51 and a white sport chrono dial along with much more. Got the car the way I wanted it and I'm not really in the mood to discuss how much is too much. If you afford it have it built the way you want it. We all know going in the options (and in fact the whole 991S) is expensive. Many skeptics are just jealous!
