This is an idiotic statement. Any newer car, whether slightly used or new will take a hit the minute you drive it off the lot. I don't understand why people get so wadded up about cars with a few miles on them, especially with full factory warranty. As I said earlier, get it CPOd, demos after a few miles and time in fleet still qualify, and you are still getting a great car at a massive discount with a better warranty then if buying new. Besides, if the dealer is reputable, the car couldn't be CPOd if it had some problems. There are horror stories about CPO cars that never should have been, but at least you have a legal standing should an issue arise. Good luck!

As many others have told you.....quite possibly, so why that the chance???

In any event the price on the car is at least 10K to high, probably more like $15K, and that's with it being CPO.

If you simply must have the car, don't pay more than $85K, get a CPO with it, and keep your fingers crossed.

Keep in mind you're speaking to a crowd, most of whom (sorry, many of whom) couldn't imagine taking a car off a lot with 50 miles on it.

As much as I hate to say this given its impact on my resale value, I would buy something like this, but not this.

I saw a red '12 coupe, very well optioned, with 100 miles or less, at Jack Daniels in Upper Saddle River for $105K. It is easily 20K off list. You can probably do better on price and there are likely other leftovers around.

You can have them do all the recalls, most of them were small. And the fact that you won't make the depreciation payment on a NEW car isa good deal. But I would not do a demo.

IMO it is a good price. But I think you can get a similar price, maybe just a bit more, for a '12 with virtually no miles.

I think it was a coupe for about $105K. Check the website. Good luck, they are great cars!

FWIW, I bought a 2008 997.1 Carrera back in the day with 10k miles - dealer demo. black on black. Totally trouble free car. Traded it in at 34k miles. Was a perfect ride. And that was in Chicago.

I know it is not the same car but this seems like a great deal on a 13 c4s if you are looking to dodge initial depreciation and get a new loaded car.

I think you will be fine either way. Yes the car was most likely driven like a track car on a cold engine repeatedly, but that does not mean it has anything wrong with it. Just going off experience, at my dealer they know the test drive is what sells the cars. They told me to go WOT on several brand spanking new cars that were not up to temp.

I was supposed to pick up my car 2013 C2S on a Saturday but it wasn't ready so the dealer had me drive their 2012 Carrera S loaner/demo with 5000 miles for the weekend. Let me tell you this, that car was trashed and everything was loose, rattling, etc etc that it came to a point that it wasn't fun to drive anymore. When I picked up my car on Monday, it was night and day. If you plan to keep the car for a long time, I wouldn't do it but that is just me.

My 991S (Coupe) was a one owner car off lease with 10K miles. I bought it in April for $92K CPO (original MSRP $126K) and I negotiated a couple of weeks to get the deal. With 6000 miles for a cab, I think the price is in the ballpark. If you are concerned the car was used a bit too hard, ask for a CPO.

If you are still going to go for the car, especially after reading all the comments, I would strongly recommend you have the dealer do an over rev report. This will protect your warranty in the future, but also give you a valuable piece of information to help you make a decision.

Most options don't have resale value in a used car. Keep in mind, a demo car is a car they use to sell other 991's with. That car may have already made the dealership buckets of cash. However, advertising does cost money, and the dealership is trying to pass off some of that cost on to you. I think $80-85K is a nice place to start with an offer. Also, if you aren't embarrassed by your first offer, then you offered too much.

Tell me if this is a good deal. I bought my car in may 19, 2013 at Niello Porsche. C2S manufactured 3/2013. Total MSRP is $118020.00. Car is brand new with 22 miles so I figured it was test driven maximum of 5 times. They discounted the price $9250.00. So I paid $108770.00 plus tax license in Ca. Did i get a good deal or normal deal. I did not shop around and we just bought it before my wife changes her mind. Let me know guys.
