991 50th anniversary model

i think the write up mistakenly said 8 speed manual.
love the fuch wheel but the rest of the retro look doesn't work at all on the 991
the 40th wasn't a hit. i dont think this will be either. a GTS version would be much more appealing.

You lucky U.S. Citizens!

For the U.S. market the powerkit is included for $ 124.100 excl. $950 Dest. Charge.
That's a bargain!

Porsche has already released the 911_50 shirts/jackets/hats/watch/luggage etc etc to give us more places to spend our money. These show on both the German and United Kingdom sites. Nothing on Canada/US sites yet though.

Correction: very little personalization is available yet. Just basics.

I really like it. Wasn't sure I would. But I like how they brought the vintage flavor (via the grille vents) to the 991. I could do with out without the thin grille strip, but on the decklid that vintage Porsche touch is is to die for. I love it. I like it much better than the modern 991 vents on the decklid. Suzy991 you did well, sis. Congrats!
I just put together a build sheet for mine (black w/full blk leather vent/heated seats) and I'm grinning.

For me, this is the classic perfection for a 50th 991 i was dreaming of:
Classic fuchs like the 997, ducktail, black stone guards, C4 wide body and powerkit as a standard. the back grill is nice, but the grill between the taillights is not . not even a classic touch, I don't know where the inspiration for this grill came from

No one's mentioned it yet but did you happen to notice the front grilles are bright metal, not painted black or body color? Personally, I think all that brightwork is very period-correct for a 60s car but not sure I'd want it on my 21st century 911. I'm not saying it doesn't look good because I think it does, but in in an anachronistic sort of way.
If the Boxster Spyder became an instant collectible (1960 units sold), then this 50th anniversary special edition of 1963 units should also sell out and become collectible, too.
