Big day for my 991C2S
Leaving soon for the dealership to get the FVD Brombacher muffler-bypass x-pipe installed (and the FVD Brombacher tips), the KW H.A.S springs, BBS wheels and massive rubber. I'll be posting photos, and sound clips once it is all done.
I love how the master-tech and the service manager at my local porsche dealership are all excited. Talk about a mod friendly place.

I'm planning on dropping the car quite a bit, but holy cow, installing the rear springs are very involved. They have to go through the inside of the car to get them out and install the new ones. We might not get to it today. Putting in coil-overs would have been easier. I actually had no idea. We'll put the wheels on and the x-pipe, and another day for the KW's.

I put the opti coat on mine after a complete polish and I'm loving it. It looks slick and adds that depth of color plus paint protection. I will do that to my cars from now on.

Unless you're going to spend a lot of time on the track, all the slamming you're doing is going to make your normal street driving feel a lot bumpier, plus your front chin will scrape on steep entrances/exits of parking lots. If you're lucky, your tires won't scrub.
I loved the way my R8 looked when I lowered her and widened the wheel offset but wasn't happy with all the above.

Everything clears just fine. We ended up staying late and finished the install, it was a tight fit for the techs to work inside the rear cabin.
The sound of the Brombacher x-pipe is pure insanity! The techs and I were flying on the highway and giggles like 8 year olds. Deep rumble around 4K, and F1 screaming at high rpms. With the exhaust button pushed (valves open) it bypasses the muffler all together, just make sure you push the button again when you see a cop. Once I'll figure out how to share a video I'll post it.

Hm, interesting. That's a lot shorter than stock tire sizes... (26/26.3 vs 26.7/27) Probably the right ratio, though. I was thinking 265/35r19 / 325/30r19 would be the sizes I'd go with, so there wasn't so much wheel gap... but that necessitates much wider wheels (19x9.5 or 19x10 and a 19x12)
