Bluetooth/Phone function, Need Help!

Hi Guys

I need some help.

My phone function with the bluetooth suddenly stopped working. When making a phone call, there is no sound coming out. I tried adjusting the call volume and mic volume, but still nothing.

The music still plays through BLUETOOTH, but just not the phone.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Thank you.

It may sound smart-assy, but have you turned the volume up? The music works do you have connection. Try a call and turn the sound up. I use the multifunction wheel and you can accidentally mute or turn the sound down.

Also, have you tried to restart the vehicle. May be a simple solution. Else, a trip to the dealer is in your future.

Thank you for the advise.

Unfortunately, that did not help. I tried connecting the bluetooth again. Made a phone call to voicemail. mute/unmute, turn the volume up, unpair phone/paired phone, turned engine off/on. Nothing worked.

I may just have to take it to the dealer.

Did you synch the bluetooth or ensure that bluetooth has been turned on for your phone. Sometimes it turns or on its own or sometimes you hit a wrong button.

Another step is to delete the Bluetooth device on your phone and set up again. Also something else you can try is to power down you phone completely and I don't mean putting it to sleep mode.

Hope that helps...

Thanks guys

I tried everything you suggested. Nothing worked. So I took it to the dealer yesterday. Turned out they were able to sync another 2 phones and they worked perfectly. It may just be my phone. It recently got an software update and may not be 100% compatible anymore?

I hate that.......

Same thing happened with my wife's iPhone and her Audi Q5 a few weeks ago and lasted for several weeks. Then, out of the blue, fixed itself. No clue what caused it and what fixed it, sorry to say.

It is ok. I wish I can reverse the software update. People say "if it is not broken, don't fix it".

I had the opposite problem...my phone BT would work but the BT AUX audio wouldn't. Reset, disconnect, reconnect, etc....eventually it worked...don't give up :-( BT is great when it works, but such a PITA when it doesn't.

Good knowing that I am not the only one. I will keep trying till my replacement phone gets here. I just got this new phone, so they are doing an exchange. Hopefully this new phone doesn't have the software update yet.
