Cost of full wrap

I think it depends more on how one's money is made that determines how one values their money. A person who worked for a start-up dot.com in Palo Alto might have become an instant multimillionaire whereas someone who built a business from scratch and built it up him- or herself over years of sacrifice and hard work might value their money differently. Easy come - easy go may apply to someone who got rich quick and since San Francisco is in close proximity to the city that has one of the highest densities of instant millionaires explains a lot.

Even if I was a multi-millionarie, I think I would still check/compare pricing in grocery stores, gas stations, saving every penny.

I think everyone here has good point and true to certain extent.
I have no doubt those top dollar shops can do an excellent job.
But a lot of time, they also over charge because they think they can and usually cater to the super rich clientele.
I am pretty sure there are many shops out there that can do the same type of quality job for a lot less.
It is the same reason that some people don't bother to find a good Porsche/German auto shop to service their out of warranty Porsche and continue to service at the dealer. Because they know it is more convenient, more reliable. But most of the time, dealers charge a lot more.

So much ignorance in this statement. Anyone successful in business, and yep I own my own, knows that time is more important. In my case, the cheapo job I got costed me time, headache, and money. The time it took me for all that bullshiet I coulda made back many times over. Thats my view from Cali
Waste your money and your time anyway you want but you can't possibly be so busy if you have time to kill on these forums.

Hey guys, as the OP of this thread I'm going to request that we all choose to stay gentlemen. We all value different things and that's ok, we're all lucky to have the choices we do with these cars and what we do with them. Let's all have a virtual beer together.

I think it hits home with a lot of people that feel like businesses immediately see the Porsche and the price doubles. Regardless, maybe we can come up with a list of things you could get for the difference between a Premiere wrap and everyone else.
I'll start: Spec Miata, a full set of track wheels and tires, paint my house, 4K TV, 3 MacBook Pros, new home stereo... and also, I could repaint my entire car. So to be clear, you can get a plastic wrap that will mostly protect the paint and yellow in a few years, or you could just repaint the entire car (though likely you'd only need to repaint a couple panels from rock damage).

"Easy come - easy go may apply to someone who got rich quick and since San Francisco is in close proximity to the city that has one of the highest densities of instant millionaires explains a lot."
It's usually only very early employees in startups around here that strike it rich. And they were probably working long hours for years before the company went IPO. It's very rare around here for later employees to strike it rich. The money may come suddenly but, by and large, there was a lot of work behind it.
Instant millionaire is a bit of a misnomer.

Your time may be valuable because you're still shlepping away to earn a buck. I started my companies in 1981 & 1995, respectively and have 5 US patents to my name. Both my businesses are still thriving and require about 4 hours a week of my time and yet I probably pay more income tax than you earn in a year, so your precious time means nothing as does your calling me 'ignorant' .

Any way you slice the labor of installing a wrap on any car should not cost as much to yank out an engine and put it back in a car. Material cost from matte to gold chrome for a car is from 300-1500 there is not 50hrs at $100/hr involved.

guess it doesnt take much etiquette and proper mannerism to get patents. Get off your high horse of I worked harder than everyone else in California. Most of us here have worked extremely hard, so it strikes a nerve when you seemingly throw everyonr here under the bus. Just cool it with the generalizations with us Californians and we are good.

And so I guess you Floridians think we should ship our cars to Florida and back for the work?? lol not hardly. Real cost savings there. Put it this way, it's not my business how you spend your money and what on. Neither is it your business how we spend ours and what on. Respectfully.
And lets not forget the cost of those stellar hurricanes back there... we ALL pay... SOMEWHERE.
