Any updates? My car is definitely still making this sound.

I can definitely hear a resonance of some kind around 3100-3200 RPM. Hasn't bothered me to much (I'm more focused on my hesitation/stumbling issue).

Anyone figure this one out? Love to get a fix for this.

It is driving me crazy & has gotten louder in the last 10 months. I have eliminated the heat shield. I am quite sure it's engine internal. I have 12 months left on my lease, I doubt I will get this corrected before the car is returned. Hopefully, the next generation turbo will not have this & the stumble issues.

That's very discouraging to hear. It doesn't bother me to the degree it bothers you, but I do find myself shifting around it so as not to hear it and that's a shame.

If it is inside the engine rather than an external piece vibrating we're sunk.

So glad to come across one already started and know that I'm not alone. The noise is just as everyone describes it. I get it predominately in 2nd and 3rd gear around 3,100 to 3,300 RPM. I have a 2014 base C2 with about 6,000 miles on it. I too thought it was something vibrating in and around the exhaust area, a resonant frequency of some kind. It's quite repeatable, I was going to have the dealer look at it at my first oil change.

Please if anyone figures out what it is or a fix for it let us know.
First, I have no fix but can pretty much tell everyone that it is engine related for absolute certain. I took delivery on Saturday on my 2016 C2 with a stock exhaust and the vibration was present at 3250rpm as I drove it out of the dealer parking lot with 11 miles on it. This is definitely some kind of harmonic imbalance. I have an Aero Cup Kit on my car, so that pretty much rules out anything to do with the automatic C2 spoiler. My 2014 C2 didn't start making this noise until 1700 miles. I guess it is a positive experience not having to wonder. Also, it is not as loud in my 2016 as it was in the 2014 C2. We will see if it gets louder with time, just like my last two wives.

Good to know that's what it is. Sucks that's what it is though.

It really ruins the driving experience through a section of the rev range.

I'm going to say it, this is not a sweet revving engine. It's not enjoyable to hear the revs rise and fall through the range. It's not a pleasant sound overall.

It's disappointing.

Agreed, but as I get older my hearing gets worse so its not such a bad thing. I just hope and pray, I don't develop the stumble.
