The article also went on to say, "the 911 and 911S Porsches pulled down a whopping 51.0% of the tally in the Best GT/Sports Car From 1600 to 3000cc division" and, "Chevrolet’s Corvette Sting Ray—a perennial favorite with our readers—has taken the Best GT/Sports Car Over 3000cc class, and has also been selected the Best All-around Car of 1967—a great vote of confidence from C/D’s readers." Don't forget, this is The People's Choice Awards.

Nothing says ****** on the street like a big spoiler and the regular GT3 isn't a race car. If you want to track, get a GT3 Cup. If you want a street car, get a 991. Just a different perspective.

I dont have a problem with pdk for the gt3 since it has gone fully into a track beast and more away from using it as a dd. No question that pdk is much better on the track with its 100 ms up and downshifts than manual .

I did it...put my name on the official list with my dealer yesterday....now the wait begins!

I'm still looking at colors, but I think I'm going to go with Mexico blue, black wheels and ceramic breaks.

GT3 cup or 991 are the only choices. Thanks for clearing that up.

Indeed you are right, the GT3 is not a racecar, the Cup will run circles around it on track. But I'm pretty sure nobody here thinks the GT3 is a racecar.

It is a very focused trackday car that can be driven to and from the track, no more, no less. So I guess it has earned its rightfull place in the Porsche lineup. You only need to take a look at trackday events to realise how good the GT3 is at that.
As a street car the 991 is better. As a racecar the Cup is better. As a trackday car, you can't beat the GT3 ! Horses for courses.

I for one love it. And I can only hope to own one in the future ! But for now I'm perfectly happy with my 991 because I can enjoy that on many more occasions than I would a GT3.

Nice GT3 ride in the country. No voice, just fantastic engine noise.

Serge: Really, you think you can resist this?
