Cargraphic or akrapovic??

Been thinking of changing my exhaust. Narrowed it down to these 2 detailed below

http://www.cargraphicts.com/index.php?id=141363&L=1 (Race version)

http://www.akrapovic.com/en/Automoti...Line+(Titanium)

I had the akrapovic evo system on my m3 and it was fantastic so I'm swaying to the akra. Any ideas for which is best ??

Cheers

I had the Akrapovic titanium system on my ZO6 and loved the build quality and sound.

I never saw or heard the Cargraphics system in person so I really can't comment.

Best of luck with your decision.

The Akrapovic exhaust sounds amazing on the 991! It's got awesome burbling on overrun, and the cracks on upshift are just wicked.

Have you got one ? If so are the power increases noticeable at all ?

I would choose the AKRA on build quality alone.

I would also keep in mind that AKRA makes OEM exhaust for Porsche so the quality is way up there.

Having said that, I haven't heard an AKRA on a vehicle I didn't like. The only problem is it is $$$$$.

For what I've listened in videos I'd go for akra, twice expensive though.
I think FVD and Cargraphic compares more.

The Cargraphic cost 6.795,00 € according to their site so it cost the same as the akra.

Personally, I would go with the Akrapovic for its build quality and they are much lighter since it's titanium. I have never heard a car equipped with akra that does not sounds good.

Akra is not worth the money compared to the Cargraphic. Cargraphic makes more power and sounds alot better and build quality is excellent! The observation has been done on a 997 GT3 though, but is the same for 991.

With EUR6,795 you got the whole exhaust system i.e. included long tube header + 200 cells cat. While Akrapovic is only Cat Back.

I have the Akra.
I had one on my BMW E90 M3 and loved it.

The Akra quality amazing as expected, and there are real weight savings as well, and in my opinion the weight is coming off in the right place, at the very back of the car.

With the valves open, its a monster, it crackles, burbles and even pops on upshifts...its awesome. Its loud though with the valves open, so not good for a daily commute(but a lot of fun), so you will def need to get the wireless kit. When the valves are closed, its about 15% louder then stock, deeper, and when sport or sport + is engaged will still burble and crackle on the overrun.

I said it before, but it makes the stock PSE with the valves open sound tame IMO. I did not feel much power difference, nor did I expect to with a cat back system.

If youre looking at the cargraphic cat back only, I would also consider the Techart valved cat back. It is the best sounding of the stainless options to me. Its pretty mellow with the valves closed, and has all the burbles on negative load and cracks on upshifts with the valves open. What ever you end up with, please share...

Bigfra,

Any reason you have not considered our exhaust system?

We are very proud of this particular exhaust. There is simply no drone in the cabin and sounds stellar at wide open throttle.

I take it the video is with the valves open? Quite skeptical about the horsepower gains without headers ? Do you have a uk agent ?
