Well I went to the dealer tonight and I have the 3rd spot for a GT3 right now. I may get lucky because the 1st spot guy is going back and forth on waiting for an RS and #2 guy is being tempted by the turbo S that is coming in

I was told that by mid December they would know for sure if it is going to be an early spring delivery or not for me if I stay in the 3rd spot. Their 1st allocation has a Nov. build so the other 2 allocations are have unknown build dates according to them.

If I have to wait for 8-10 months to see the car from now then I will stick with my 991s for the time being.

Porsche have stated "worldwide demand exceeds supply". This statement was made over 2 months ago and before all the glowing reviews were published.

Get the GT3 if you want to drive it. Not if you want to make $ off it. I am sure you can find other more predictable way to make $.

You might just lose less if you get a GT3. Most cars are not investment IMO.

(edited my original comment, didn't mean worldwide).
This an age old marketing scheme, once they have orders approaching 600, surprisingly you will see allocations increased to 700, 800, etc.

I talked to my dealer yesterday. Was there getting a tire repaired (already picked up a nail). He told me that the GT3's were on delayed for an "unspecified" length of time. The dealer ship has many on order for customers. He said that the 911 Turbos will start delivering to customers soon.

If I had any brains that's what I would have done. I traded mine for a Turbo. I canceled my 14 GT3 and have ordered a 15 GT3.
