Everyone agrees that the left one is the original and the right one is a little off. Are we correct?

Left looks like original. But the C in Porsche looks crooked in the after picture.

GrayBlack is infamous around these parts
The left picture looks original. The badges on the right look slightly tilted.

My car is currently at a certified body shop and they have included 2 hours of labor in their estimate to create a proper template... I'll keep an eye on it too.
I had de-badged and re-badged 2 991's and used painters' tape to create my own template based on the original factory install. I did not keep it unfortunately.

Just had my rear bumper resprayed after I scuffed it backing in to my sons scoooter. Paint shop did an excellent job repairing the scuff and re-badging the car. I complimented them on getting the badge on just right and he said they measured and took photos prior to removing original badge.
The spoiler down photo badge looks tilted down on right side a bit and maybe a little too close together. Personally I'd have to have it redone. The P and O along with the H and the E should be 1 7/8 inch down from spoiler lip. R S C should be 1 3/4 inch down. Unfortunately that is the only measurement I remember.

You're a tough group and absolutely right! I'm having it re=badged Thursday. Believe it or not, that template they use at the factory cannot be had in the US. They have to place all the badging by eye. The installer got the exact measurements from Porsche and he is going to replace them according to those measurements.

When I replaced my 981 badges to have them body color matched, I made a template before I took them off.

15 minutes with a pieces of 4x6 card, construction paper, painters tape and some scissors made the re-install perfect and easy. Since I knew exactly where the letters were going, all I had to do was make sure they were level and correctly oriented inside the template.

I actually like the after pic better.

Looks a little more "flush" to me. I have always thought the spacing was too wide on the "from the factory" look.

I can see how that technique would work. Problem with the badging on my car is since I have all the badging of the 991 (two rows, and there are ten separate objects to align), it makes the process somewhat more difficult. I really don't understand why Porsche doesn't package the badging with a paper or cardboard template.
