Keeping up a tradition that started a couple years ago, we once again decided to celebrate the annual Art Basel festival in Miami (https://www.artbasel.com/en/Miami-Beach) by creating an "art car" designed by local Miami-based Pop Artist Michael Perez. This year, the rolling canvas is a fresh 2014 991 C4S covered in Michael's artwork and sitting on a set of our 20 inch RG5 wheels.

Some love it, some hate it...but the bottom line is that it's REALLY cool!!

I think I've seen something like that when someone parked their car overnight in a shady area of LA and came back the next morning to find that graffiti artists had been hard at work that previous night.

 

I rather like the paint job. It'll also hide paint chips easy too. May be a pain to fix them though.

I do like it for what it is. But it would have to be a wrap because I wouldn't want to drive it like that for more than a month or so.

 

Art basel is an awesome yearly event and I think it's awesome that Champion had a Porsche for display . I had no idea where to find the car but it was perfect weather for a leisure stroll down Lincoln Road .

After a quick bite to eat I saw the Champion car slowly driving up the 1111 Building . For those unfamiliar it's a very nice garage with a club and boutiques overlooking South Beach . Ferrari had an event there one year .

So with my girlriend we walked up each flight of the building to look for the car and on the top floor .. Jackpot !!!!

It looked great !!! There were other cars there too but the C4S was my favorite .

I just came back from Art Basel, I'm very much into art, I think the concept is good, BMW does it since many years ago, but personally I don't like the artist you chose.

 

I am not sure where BMW planted themselves at this years event but i did see several cars with New Jersey tags indicating an Art basel BMW. I even snapped a few pics of an i3 that I saw parked on the street.

 

They exhibited the one painted by Andy Warhol At the UBS VIP lounge at the convention center.

 

Should have done this on a coupe with sunroof delete. Wheels are badass though...
