991 facelift
#18
I'm with Fester. This is the GTS...
Facelift 991 comes late 2015, early 2016. First we will get the 991 Targa at the end of next month, then later next year comes the GTS.

I would think if a GTS hp would be somewhere between X51 packaged 991 and a GT3[/QUOTE]
997.2 GTS engine was the standard 997.2 X51 package. I would expect the same for the 991 GTS - so that would be the same 430 hp.
FWIW, the special editions of the 997.2 that came out before the GTS were specced exactly like the GTS. Widebody, X51, etc. Based on the 991 50th edition and the 997.2 GTS, my prediction for the 991 GTS is:
Wide body from the 991 4 series
Alcantara interior
standard 991 paint colors
X51 engine - 430 hp
Centerlock (UGH!) wheels [the only feature of my GTS that I disliked]
I just hope Porsche does away with the centerlock wheels, or again makes normal 5-bolt wheels optional as they did on the 997.2 GTS. I had centerlocks on mine but I'd go with the standard wheels next time.

I have said it before and I will say it again - I would not be surprised if we had a hybrid variant on the way, inspired by the 918.
Definitely helps with the emissions regulations and potentially introduces potential power gains...
Just a thought!

But it does look like it has an active front spoiler like the Turbo so it does make me wonder what it could be.
Another interesting thing is that it has outlets cut into the sides of the lower rear bumper, almost like intercooler outlets on the turbo....interesting. Maybe a turbo 4-cylinder..?
