I just stumbled on this thread. It's a good one! All the talk of Porsche and luxury and refinement is pretty new. Not very long ago people took a certain pride in how a Porsche was a pure sports car and the engineers thought any luxuries were just added weight. How times have changed!

Can you do audi exclusive in america? I know for porsche we only get some exclusive options. Same with BMW and mercedes. Perhaps this weekend I will go sit in an RS5 or RS7 and take a look inside. I will sit in the v10+ at my dealer too to compare it. I've never sat in either of these cars. The most expensive audi I have sat in was the S8 and I was not impressed at all.

I know the r8 has all that stuff. But i was referring to the rest of audi. Though still I wish they upped the interior colors on the r8. Too much black, though for the price of it, and being the cheapest super exotic car (I use both of those words to refer to performance and engine in the back with glass window), it is very good.

Porsche I believe is extremely refined. Idk if it wasn't back in the day but just from the new boxster S and 991 c4s that I have driven, the luxury and refinement is abundantly apparent.

That's a good one... I don't know.
In Europe we can order an Audi (and even a VW) the way we want, as long as we pay for it of course. They are very flexible regarding exterior colors and interior combinations. (To be honest... Much more flexible than Porsche's Exclusive department).

I have no idea if Audi offers the same options in the U.S.

Here are some examples of Audi exclusive interiors:

I was wondering if the S5 was going to be brought in... HARDLY an exotic - it is EXTREMELY easy (and fun) to drive in all conditions.

I love it. It looks fantastic, has some decent power, doesn't have a lot of issues (easy to own). I even found some decent room in the back seats as well (for me in a pinch, or for the little ones). Get it in S-tronic, call it a day.

I have driven an S5. It's a fun car. But I think it's too box shaped. No design. I use to love the S5 and thought it was beautiful when I was ignorant about cars. So now when I learned about all these other beautiful cars I don't really care for the S5 or M3 anymore.

don't waste your time on them. I tried to do the individual program with audi, the people who work there are worthless. My saleswoman hardly knew anything about the car. So disappointing.

Hmmm this is probably why I see no audi with this program done to it.

That's a shame... And indeed very disappointing if you want your car to be to your likes.

Definitely a shame...

I've given up on expecting ANYONE in a dealership to have any kind of knowledge about cars they sell. More ignorance than common sense.

Yeah, it is definitely not as inspiring as others, as it is conservative by design... If the S5 does nothing, then why would you consider the RS5?

Perhaps I missed something.

(To me it was reading - "I don't like the C6, but I'm looking at a C6Z06")

I agree Jasper.

Although the RS5 is slightly fatter, it's still the same design (which I love very much BTW).
Audi always has very minimalistic and calm designs for their cars (except the R8, which was very bold in Audi terms). I happen to like that, but I can understand that other people might think it's boring or looking boxy.

They never use much creases or busy lines...
