Porsche Touch Up Paint DIY & Review - Needed

Hi,

I have just purchased the Porsche Touch Up Paint from Suncoastparts to be used on the bottom front bumper which i badly scratched while driving out of a parking mall.

I cant seem to find an instructional video or step by step instructions with pics on how to use it. Does anyone here know where I can find one? And any reviews on how effective it is?

I appreciate it, thanks in advance!

Wish I could say, but I'm trying to find a good Detail or PDR guy to do the touch-up on my car.
I know I am bad with paint and brushes.

This is very tricky. I have dr color chip GT silver kit --tried a couple of time but gave up. Definitely need an experienced person - they make it look too easy in these videos. http://www.drcolorchip.com

I totally agree, experience is really needed. try the videos of ammonyc on youtube, Larry Kosilla is a great detailer, who really likes to share his knowledge and experience, you will find interesting videos for touch up in his youtube page, but I will still recommend getting it touched up by a professional detailer.

There have been several posts on this - a nagging problem that just about every owner unfortunately goes through at some point. Rainier posted an excellent write-up, and I include others as well as my own. There is no easy way to do it -- it takes time and patience and multiple attempts to slowly build up the paint and then to level it off. You need to sand to smooth it down nice and even (I did not sand, but used a product called langka), and then buff using finishing compound and polish. Good luck!!
