What is Suzy 991 Going to Do?

When we were on holiday in the U.S., I rented a 991 C2S cab for a week and although we really enjoyed that car, it also made me appreciate my Boxster S more and more. That got me thinking and reconsidering several options.
Since I don't want to use the car as a DD, I could not justify to myself spending $345k on a car that is most of the time only used in the weekends. As a fun car, the Boxster that I have is equally (if not better) fun as a 991 Carrera (no matter which one).
So the Boxster is a keeper for now. I'll wait untill the 981 GTS comes next spring and depending on how I like that car maybe trade the Boxster S for a Cayman GTS...

suzy991, fwiw, i exchanged over a 100 emails with my dealer while ordering my 991. i changed a bunch of things back and forth and so have many others on 6speed. so kudos for doing what you want and getting what you want. absolutely nothing wrong with that. (i don't regret for a second all those emails!)

Suzy991, I was surprised to find that you had deleted your starter post in its entirety yesterday:
Finally! I signed my order today
Whilst your reason for the deletion is "Not valid anymore", as there were many replies on the thread I think the original post should have been left there.

You were one of those people that gave me some wise advices that made me think or rethink. Not only about the car, but also about other things. I'm very thankfull for that!

That's the one 991 that is the least attractive for me. Not that I don't like the car, but last saturday I had the oppertunity to experience the new 991 GT3 as a passenger, but no way that is a car for me. It may be more comfortable than the previous GT3, but it is still a pretty harsh ride.
Besides that, he had to use the front axle lift about 6 times to get out of the little village I live, to get over speedbumps that I can take without hesitation with my Boxster.
The GT3 is a gtrat car, but not for me. I did have it on my radar for a brief moment, but I'm glad that I got rid of that idea i also don't like the big wing... Too "Fast & Furious" for my taste....

It's not weird at all. We all go through a process when thinking about ordering a car. When we are passionate about something we dive into the tiny details. Sometimes all this planning happens in our subconscious. The only difference is Suzy shared her thought process online with all of us - nothing wrong with changing one's mind. Can you post some pics of the different RS5 exterior and interior colours you're thinking about? Would be interested to see them!
The interior of the RS5 will be black. I would probably have liked a differrent color, but it's most of the time my GF's DD, so she decides
Maybe I can still talk her into an Audi Exclusive interior....
The exterior color choice is Misanored metallic
Edit:
Here is a better picture instead of renderings (note: we don't want that aluminium exterior package, which gets you a silver splitter)

My issues are also about forum etiquette. Here is a copy of my post on that thread which explain what I mean.
---------
You mentioned the post was deleted because is of no use to anyone.
Most threads will contain something of value to someone sometime. Deletions of the core/initial post are disruptive to discussions that follow on a thread and can be construed as being insulting to those who invested time in replying.
There are of course circumstances where they are ok to delete.... e.g. When they are incriminating, etc.
--------
Of course circumstances and situations change but maybe it's a lesson about thinking carefully before posting anything which maybe based on a whim or on wishful thinking.
For those purposes Dux's comments may hold water.

I had an S5...have driven the RS5 on the track several times out at Texas Motor Ranch. The car is a pig and they should have put the 4.0tt in it or shed weight. Worst piece of **** I have ever owned. I loved the way the car looked, the interior. Audi service and reliability were appalling. After 18xxx miles I dumped it. New control arms, vacuum line to inlet motor let go and car went to limp mode, new throw out bearing, new MMI unit, carbon cleaning. Within 14 month it was in the shop 56 days days and 17 visits later I'll never buy an Audi again.
If you haven't bought this car yet please look at something else.
