Not judgement, Vantaredoc. Just my opinion. I've never seen that type of pack. I'll look it up. Thanks.

What? No laser cannons? I'm disappointed.

BTW, OP I love the photos of your setup! It sounds like some of the experts on here disagree with it, but it definitely has some wow factor and it is an ingenious solution to a problem. Sadly, I know more about American Girl dolls than I do carrying handguns, hahaha.

Either way, I think we can all agree that owning/carrying a gun should be coupled with extensive training on how to handle it in various scenarios. Just like buying fast cars, we've all seen what can happen without proper training and instruction.

Here I'll save you some time and give a demo

We have some real good laws here in Florida including my favorite, CASTLE DOCTRINE, but our concealed is very clear! It's ok to see "printing" but if someone can see what color it is because your shirt raised up, you will lose your right!

Do you have optional PDLS, it makes a huge difference, according to what I've read on the Porsche website, lol

Thanks for the fanny pack pix. Sorry but I would never use it for many of the reasons previously mentioned about nylon and triggers and because it does not offer a stable, straightforward fast draw in a fight/flight scenario. I'm beating a dead horse now. Sorry; I'll stop. Forgive me.

I know. It's hard for "grumpy old dogs" to learn new tricks...lol Have you ever felt the trigger pull on a LCP? It is very long and there is nothing that can touch it. I too laughed at the idea of the "fanny pak" but in a lot of situations it's my only choice. In case you haven't noticed Florida makes the news...ALOT!! It's getting crazy around here and I will find a way to keep one on my side at all times. Cheers!

I have a serious question for the guys who are thinking about carrying a gun to defend your 991 from a carjacking: If a criminal (possibly armed) approached you and demanded the car, why wouldn't you just give it up with no struggle? You have insurance and there are literally dozens if not hundreds of other 991s available at any given time to replace it with. Compare that choice to reaching for your gun (whatever your method of carrying it), hoping the criminal isn't armed and harms you first, taking another man's life, standing before a judge (even if the law is on your side) etc.

I'm not making any judgment on the right to bear arms in general. But I think there is a difference in keeping a gun in your home to defend against intruders where your wife and children sleep versus defending a mass-produced car that can be easily replaced.

lol...you might be right about old dogs; I'm not gonna lie.

Never tried the LCP. The sights were not up to my specs. I had an LC9 last year, but sold it. I was not partial to the long trigger pull on it and started to price modifying the pull to something shorter. Also did not like the way the LC9 parts were rapidly wearing with only a 1000 rounds through it. If you're okay with 1911-style, I'd recommend a Sig P238. Bought one in Miami for EDC--very small profile well suited for Florida. The Sig night sights are excellent!

Excellent point! Stating the obvious, I would not defend my 911. It's insured. Take it. In Miami, there have been muggings and carjackings, for example, in which the criminal took the money and/or car and still shot the victim after the criminal got what he wanted. Whoa--huge wake up call. Dead men tell no tales I guess.

If you ever get up Sanford way I'll show you my collection of 1911's from Colts to competition Ed Browns. I'm not a Sig fan. This LCP is the cheapest piece I have but it is effective. 1911 is what I travel with and carry when I can wear a jacket. I had the P238 for a day and traded it for another G30sf that I had tricked out.

Who's to say your family isn't with you when it happens? Look at the family in NJ with their Range Rover. The guns are to protect people not things.
