I have a 4.0 that can be a bit bruising but if the 50th is any indication it will be fine. Frankly, the 50th drives better on the well worn FDR nasty spots that some of my true luxury cars. Porsche has really done something transformational with the 991 chassis.

Thanks... I have a 991 SC and I too drive sometimes on the FDR. I really like the GT3 but would like to have at least a similar ride... Turbo is the other option but the GT3 is special IMHO.....

Will send pics tomorrow - bottom line is WOW - Certainly a daily driver - by that I mean not extreme in terms of ride - very compliant even in sport plus mode - hit the FDR Drive and some nasty pavement sections and manhole covers and and and - these are sections I know well and are abusive - and I am F'ing impressed - WOW - great sound and compliance and a great ride. I highly recommend it (to paraphrase a movie line) -

Gt3 is definitely my favorite 991...but lack of rear seats is a no-go for me. As someone else said...the photo is a total bliss!! What a car!!

So how does the ride compare to your 50th anniversary model?

Some Shots - Amazingly warm day in New York City - shot north - Awesome automobile - Ride is NOT much more firm than the 50th Anniversary (which is a C2S really) - turn in is quick and feels a bit more planted than the 50th, and that rear steer at speed gets you to the apex more quickly :-) . Engine pulls from 1500 rpm in 7th gear - a well integrated car from engine to PDK to suspension - More stable than my 4.0 - nice engine noise (in addition to exhaust note) - some good mechanical noise rather than the more insulated 50th ( and turbo). Brakes (I do the Steels) are firm and light - and the steering almost feels mechanical (almost).

Thanks for review. My build locks shortly. I'm tempted by 3rd gen PCCB's - have you driven them on latest turbo? Any comparison comments? I was very impressed with 3rd gen BMW CCBs recently.

I have a dedicated track car, so time on circuit will be limited for the 991.

Congrats. Car looks great!

I won't have a GT3 until March but I had a 991S and now have a 991 Turbo. Ride is about the same maybe 5 percent stiffer. Loved the PDK in the S (all my previous 911s were manual). The PDK is even better in the Turbo. More power of course. I had a 11GT3RS and found it unsuitable for a occasional daily driver. I am hoping that the GT3 is not super stiff. I do not track my cars. I do schools in their cars.

I think my 991S was a great car. If I had any sense I would not have done the Turbo or GT3. But don't so there it is. I don't think the extra power, the S was FAST, makes that much difference on street. I just did it anyway.
