2014 991 Tours Western Washington
Picking up where we ended up last year on our monthly 991 tours, we'll try for :
Saturday January 25 12:00 at Fairhaven Park
(no Seahawk football game that day, they are in SB.....thank you Richard Sherman)
Either do the 100 mile loop up towards Mt Baker with chuckanut and mosquito lake road........ or the 90 mile loop down south towards Rexville/Conway along the Skagit River Dike roads. Coffee break and pictures at 50 miles on both.
Notes:
-like last winter when we start at noon vs. 800am , there may be some traffic and probably less opportunity to push the limits of your driving skills (Peter!).
- tour cancelled if rain or below 38F (I'll update forecast on forum couple days prior)
- due to WA affirmative action we have to let non 991 in on the tour, including John's Turbo S. Sorry
-PM if you need route maps

This sounds fantastic!! I'll be working a 12-hour shift 0600-1800, I do plant security for one of the major industrials up here on Saturday (and Sunday) though. (via 6SpeedOnline iOS)

Several people would prefer Sunday. Works for me, just always tired after 2 hour run and 1 1/2 swim. Any preference? Border traffic would be heavier for you guys going back in the afternoon unless u got nexus pass

It would be a pleasure to have you join us.... turn on your radar jammer before you leave and watch for LEO airplanes when you come into WA state. You get the first go with our maid of honor if you make it on time (We won't tell porschecrazy once she gets to NY)

forecast for Saturday is sunny with temps 45-52F at noon. probably rain given the accuracy of our forecasters.
I'll check the roads out for any loose gravel from winter black ice conditions (our maid of honor wants a quickie pre-trip )
