It is a piece of plastic that fits on the underside of the frunk that will help to prevent sgnid (reverse dings), when stuff in your frunk hits the underside of the hood, denting it, when you hit a bad bump. IMHO that's something that should be installed on every Porsche.

Tempting. What about the weight? Probably negligible, but I am one of these idiots who takes everything our of his car when I go to the track to save 1/2 lbs. -facepalm-

Just an update. Got my liner today and installed it in about 2 minutes. I think it weighs about 1 lbs. Good quality, not flimsy at all. Took me longer to take the photos than to install it.
