FVD headers and cats?

FVD headers and cats?
Hi I have the FVD valved sport exhaust on a C2S cab. I am very happy with it and was considering the rest of the system. I don't mind and might prefer it it if the exhaust gets a little louder say 25% louder under load at high revs but I don't want it to be crazy loud or have anymore drone under load at low revs or to be to much louder just cruising around. I have heard the cats and headers are a lot louder but have not seen any videos comparing them to the sport exhaust. I was hoping the 200 cell cats with possibly a new air filter and new plenum might help the power at the high altitude I live at.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your exhaust!
With the valved exhaust that you have the you will see an increase in volume, but the majority of the volume will be noticed when the valves are open under heavy load. When you are cruising, the addition of the headers and cats will be only slightly noticeable (15-20 % increase) as far as volume is concerned. The tone will get slightly lower and you will have a small increase of rumbling and crackling off throttle.
In regards to the performance, you will have 22 lb. ft of added torque with your set up in the low and mid range and will have 23 horsepower up in the higher rpms. Your valves exhaust performs very well with the addition of the headers. You will see and increase in all rpm ranges as it controls the back pressure to build torque in the lower rpms and mid range and really produces excellent horsepower up top.
Thanks,
Rhonda
