OK, have some in route. I'll post as soon as they arrive and when I have more exact info.

I already have the Sport Design mirrors, but would be interested in an electric retracting kit.

Update: I have been in touch with my parts contact at local dealer... I've obtained a parts list for the Sport Design mirrors. What I have right now are the parts for the non-folding only -- I do not have the parts list for the folding mirrors. My understanding is that they are basically the same but there are additional parts if I want to convert to folding option. For those of you who have the folding mirrors option you may not need anything beyond what you see here (but please don't take my word as final!).

I've listed the RETAIL cost next to each item. You can prob get a discount or better pricing, perhaps from Suncoast for example.

Also, note that the housings are UNPAINTED.

I think the line item listed as "VERSTELLEINHEI(t)" is the German word for "adjustable" but have no idea what it is or why it is so pricey.

Here are the parts (for conversion to Sport Design mirrors from standard mirrors on a non-folding mirror car):

Qty PN Desc Price
1 991-731-229-00 AS MIRROR BASE 231.23
1 991-731-230-00 AS MIRROR BASE 231.23
2 7PP-959-578-B VERSTELLEINHEI 107.18
1 991-731-221-00 GASKET 12.16
1 991-731-222-00 GASKET 12.16
1 991-731-519-00 REINFORCING PL 54.74
1 991-731-520-00 REINFORCING PL 54.74
1 991-731-833-00 SEALING 14.07
1 991-731-834-00 SEALING 14.07
1 991-731-629-00-G2L HOUSING 103.47
1 991-731-620-00-G2L HOUSING 89.46
1 991-731-045-00 MIRROR GLASS 299.12
1 991-731-048-00 MIRROR GLASS 373.09
1 991-731-729-00-G2L COVER 211.75
1 991-731-730-00-G2L COVER 211.75
1 991-731-631-00-G2L HOUSING 103.47
1 991-731-632-00-G2L HOUSING 103.47
1 991-622-714-00 CABLE LOOM 60.22

Looking again at this list, some of the prices are crazy.... Total all this up and you have a cost of nearly $2,300 before paint for 18 parts to complete the conversion. I might wait on this since I have a few other projects in the works. If the price were more like $1,500 I would be all-in....

So to those who posted interest, yes you can order everything you need to change to the Sport Design mirrors.... And yes there is a folding option. I am told that some of the parts listed above are already in the states, but a few will need to be sourced from Germany.

1 991-622-714-00 CABLE LOOM 60.22

Are any of these internal parts the same as the standard mirrors? Hard to believe they are completely different units on the inside.

Our kits will be at a significantly lower price than the parts listed above.

Hopefully sometime next month we will have them in stock. Still no ETA from Porsche on the kits we have on order.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Will there be a kit to motorized existing Sport Design mirrors if someone already has them on their car?

As of right now we do not have any information on whether Porsche will release an auto retracting retrofit or not.

We will be sure to keep this thread updated if we hear anything different.

You might be all-in....
With Sunset Porsche pricing, it works out to just under $1500.

Although, you should double check the part #'s, as there are various options on the mirror glass and wiring harness depending on auto-dim and/or memory.

I think you had a typo on;
1 991-731-620-00-G2L HOUSING 89.46

I think it should be;
991-731-630-00-G2L

Also you would most likely need 2 of whichever wiring harness (4 variations of it exist).

In addition, if you have a 13+, it looks like the adjusting motor [VERSTELLEINHEI] is the same.

That saves you $200
Making this a $1300 upgrade (less painting & installation).

Taking delivery of my 911_50 this week.
