Thanks! Should be a fun run up to Bear Mt. 7 Lakes Drive is a pretty nice road - should be free of snow by about August

I think Arden Valley road may be the best of the bunch (although it doesn't really go anywhere) as they completely repaved it last year. Hopefully its still in good shape come the spring.

Bear Mountain

I love cruising to Bear Mountain; I go just about every day during the nice weather.

I especially enjoy the Wednesday evening cruise at BM, which begins in May. On some evenings, there's a thousand cars in attendance (all makes and models from the most exotic to homemade street rods).

I usually get there early (nice to be retired).

The place begins filling up around five o'clock.

A tuner Volvo C30? Really? I had an old BMW Z3, with the small 1.9 engine (0-60 in ... Well I am not sure it ever got there). I wanted to install hydraulics and make it a low rider. But I was worried that the entire country of Germany would hunt me down. I should have done it!

Brian did a great job of planning a route last year starting in the Palisades parkway. It was a very nice drive up past West Point. Thanks again Brian! And I know both from a scheduling point of view and from traffic, it might be less desirable. But it would be great to start in the afternoon on a Wednesday and keep ol' Pete company at that cruze night at the journey's end. It would be a treat to see all those cars and kind of fun to have a fleet of 991's show up in force (and assorted other finery!). Perhaps we can do both - a weekend drive and all meet Pete some Wednesday night.

Good all of that green and t-shirts look good!

Yes, kudos to Brian for that well-planned outing. And if some do want to come up for the cruise night, I can have the organizers hold an area for us at the top of the hill.

Count me in. I'm up in Harriman/Bear Mtn. all the time in the nice weather, though usually on two-wheels. Would be great to meet up with some of the folks from this forum.
