The legs were very delicious. I have a plastic bin that I usually keep in the trunk but took it out because I put a carry on suit case in there and need a little extra room.

The smell is awful. I took my 6 year old daughter to school today. I clipped her in the back booster seat and shut the door. I walked around and got in. She looked right at me and accused me are farting. Nice kid.

I have decided to just set fire to the car and get rid of the smell that way.

Marc
LOL She is set for posting here.

I just got my trunk liner from Suncoast today for my TTS. Fits nicely. Not cheap, but good for containing spills and protecting the carpet.

991TurboS,

You have a 991 TURBO S!!! And you are calling a plastic container in the truck "not cheap".

I love your style. I would live in a trailer and own a Bugatti Veyron if I wasn't married.

dkim12 is infamous around these parts
just thinking of the smell is making me nauseous. I would be sniffing my car every time I get in it paranoid and pissed. Seriously, good luck getting the smell out.

If it were me and the slightest smell was still around after 2 weeks, I'm trading it in for another one.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld B.O. episode haha

$168 for a piece of thermoformed ABS. Not cheap. Got the Porsche name on it and it is an official Porsche product, so it has the official Porsche price, I guess.

Unless of course I decide to pick up a bunch of King Crab legs for our Valentine’s Day dinner. And then they leak... in the trunk.

It is awful. Gone is the wonderful smell of leather and burning rubber. Replaced with the smell of the Deadliest Catch.

Damn it.

Marc

Marc,
Go to Petsmart and buy a product called "Nature's Miracle." It is an enzyme product that they sell for pet urine and vomit type odors in carpets, as well as food stains, etc. The enzymes in the product consume any organics in the carpet and eliminate the odor. It works. I have three dogs, and this product is great.

Should be C2S since it doesn't have the awd system and the unique fuel tank for 4/4S that takes up the front space

Man...it's a bummer! Try taking liner out, replace/wash and then soaking up the trunk and everything attached to it with fabreze (if it really works as advertised)... Good luck man. Keep us posted.

Btw, trunk liner is the best mod I did !

No offense taken. My TTS is a Launch Car, not configured by me, and it has "991 Turbo S" on the door bottoms in black vinyl, a mere $300 option. Thank Gawd I got the car discounted.

First week I had my car I spilled part of a Mickey D's Mocha Frappe in the front passenger seat. I used Natures Miracle on the front set. Soaked the leather with it to get it to the foam, and it did great. So it should do well on just a trunk liner. Just be generous with it. The idea is to saturate the area where the stain/stench is and just let it dry by itself.
