Sprint Booster Opinions
I just saw this thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...rformance.html
I had two of these on my prior S600 and CLS550 Mercedes - and they worked flawlessly. You notice the throttle response improved immediately after install.
Has anyone tried these on our C2S/C4S? I am going to go ahead and order one anyway - its only 300 - but if it works like it did in my other cars, I am sure I am going to be happy. Any opinions are appreciated!

I was hoping for some personal use stories and experiences - but I can only tell you what I felt in the Mercedes. After install, the throttle response was near immediate. You have to re-learn the pedal feel a little because of how quickly the throttle engaged.
I noticed that in my C2S, the throttle is not very responsive, especially from the dig. Hoping the booster improves that. Will report once I receive it.

+1 Interesting that no one has tried this. Be interested to hear results, installation, and experience.

Yes and no. The driving dynamic of a car changes when you eliminate throttle response lag. When you exit out of a corner and go from brake to gas, there is a tiny, but perceivable lag between you pressing the pedal and the car responding. This is normal in cars operated by "throttle-by-wire" computer. This device should eliminate that - and change the driving dynamic a bit, especially in freeway passing, corner acceleration, etc. At least it did in my other cars.
We will see if it helps the Porsche, but really - the amount of throttle lag on a car like this is quite bothersome.

^ Before you get a Sprint Booster, try turning off Traction Control, to see if that cures the throttle lag.
I also found that a manual downshift gives better throttle response through corners.
I believe the car regulates throttle inputs, so it can decide if it should downshift or not.
A downshift would need less throttle where holding the gear needs more throttle.
If you do the downshift manually, then it can just process your throttle command.
Same if you mannually hold the gear.

My opinion is do not mess with the computer programs that Porsche spent millions of dollars and thousands of hours testing, and to which can have unintended consequences on your whole ecosystem of PSM, PDCC, PTV etc., to say nothing of the safety concerns of messing with your throttle pedal (again, without the r&d to back it up).
I understand why they program a "lazy throttle" for Normal mode but I have to believe that in Sport or Sport Plus, the throttle response is the way it came from the factory for a very good reason.

I had three manual vehicles with the Sprint Booster installed (ZO6, Dodge Challenger (392-Hemi), and a Jeep Wrangler. The unit worked well and did eliminate the pedal-lag in those vehicles.
I'm not sure if I feel the need for one in my manual C2S, which has quite a linear pedal feel in Sport Mode.

Interested to hear your experiences with the Sprint Booster. I find the throttle response in normal mode to be quite lackadaisical, but it's not such a problem as I drive in Sport+ virtually all the time. In Sport+, I find the throttle response to be very satisfying.

^+1. Only in Normal when lazy and cruising. In Sport/Sport+ 90% of the time and throttle response is fine (+quicker PDK). Maybe the Sprint Booster makes more sense if you do not have the Sport Chrono package that includes the Sport+ mode?
