MAcarbon Carbon Fiber PDK Shift Knob

MAcarbon Carbon Fiber PDK Shift ****
I have CF trim in my TTS, and I decided to get the MAcarbon CF PDK shift **** instead of the Porsche CF ****. They are priced the same, and I like the look of this one better. Easy installation. Here is the MAcarbon **** installed, with the leather one it replaces next to it. The MAcarbon carbon fiber is a perfect match for the stock trim.

The Sport Chrono cover would be a nice option, but it has a fairly involved installation procedure. I am a bit apprehensive about prying trim panels off myself, but I am sure it could be installed by any competent DIYer or a garage. The PDK **** literally took about 1 minute to install....super easy.
I think the interior would look a bit junky with tons of CF in the interior, and that is not a slam to MAcarbon at all, just my personal opinion about carbon fiber in general, as their carbon fiber pieces are very nice and of very high quality craftsmanship.
As it is right now, I would probably consider a custom CF accented steering wheel (paddle shifters, not MF wheel) if that were available, but I have a lot of leather and aluminum in the car as well, and I like the balance between the three materials.
Carbon Fiber being a solid material, it can get cold or hot, whereas leather is not as bad in any temperature swing. Not a big deal for me, but today we went to the 20s and the CF **** was cold, as would be expected. Just somethijng about CF in general to consider. A steering wheel would be similar, I would guess.
Here is the MAcarbon website with all their accessories for Porsche. Many of them have pdf installation instructions available so you can see what is involved. There are installation instructions for the Sport Chrono cover on there as well.
