No, not yet. Still in the shop. There appears to be a charging problem. Will keep you all posted once I get her back.

Well got it back. They said it was a bad alternator and they replaced it. Hopefully, this resolves this issue and closes the case. My battery voltage still reads 12.5 in Normal mode. It fluctuates but usually comes to rest at 12.5. However, in Sport mode, the reading is 15.0. According to my service guy, 12.5 in Normal mode is OK. Also, they updated/reprogrammed my instrument cluster with update WE02. Sorry, not sure what the update does, but they did it.

Mine is not 12.5 in normal mode and is not 15 in sport (it does hit 14.7). Hope it works for you.

Voltage varies with conditions. Between 12 and 15.9 is usually just fine.

14.7 is the ideal charging voltage for an AGM battery.
If you you see 15.9, that is very high.
I dont think I ever saw over 14.8.

15+ is suposedly bad for the battery.
For short term it should be OK (asuming charging current is low while that happens).
If it is above 15V constantly, that can't be good.

The 70Ah battery seems undersized to me. Porsche has 80Ah & 95Ah available.
The 95Ah is the max that fits in the tray and adds 15lb, but should give far better reliability.
If you want the part #'s, I can look them up.

Edit: 95Ah - 99961109511

I agree 100%, battery is undersized, but was told is was done for weight savings. Part # would be great. Thanks!

I left the lights on in my '93 325i and went to a 3+ hour night class last week. Came back and she started up like nothing happened. What does this mean! Hehe.

At startup & after 20 min driving. Went to 14.9 within a few minutes & stayed there - both in normal & then into sport after warm up - no change.

I think I'm going to delete the amps on the display. Like someone said "just another thing to worry about."
