Sport seat

New to the forum. I just purchased a 2011 carreras cabriolet. It is equipped with heated and ventilated seats. They are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever been on. Is this normal? Any suggestions for replacement seats, or is the price you pay to drive the most beautiful car in the world

Im a big guy 5-11 220, I have also struggled getting comfortable in the seats. I have found that it is better for me to recline the back and raise the front of the seat and lower the back of the seat.

Do you have the 14-way or 18-way?

Everyone is different, but man, I find both the 14 way and the 18 way seats incredibly comfortable.

One thing is that they do sit very low and compared to more sedanish cars, your legs are much more in front of you. This puts a lot of stress on the back, due to the tension.

What makes them uncomfortable for you and what cars are you coming from?

The seat back is very uncomfortable. I feel like my back is too wide for the seat. I'm not very big though. The seats make my low and middle back very sore after 15 minutes of driving. Im coming off a Lexus gs 350. I did not expect total luxury. I had a MB SL 550 in the past. That was comfortable. I'm just wondering if it's me or is there a way to fix this problem

It's all personal preference.. It is like choosing a mattresses.. But I find the 14 way seats I have very comfortable in a snug sports car way.. Getting in and out, lol that's a different subject all together..

I would ask you one question, are you used to driving a sports car? The overall c0ckpit orientation is not comfortable for many people, especially if you are more luxury car oriented. If you are expecting it to feel like a Lexus or whatever, you will never be satisfied.

One thing I will say is if you get the lumbar settings goofed up it can feel kinda like a fist in your back.. And I have a couple different orientations that I use of the angle that I use depending on if I'm cruising or want to burn corners..

BTW I love the ventilated seats.

I'm 6'1" & 270 and I find the 14-way seats in my car too hard and restrictive. I do love the ventilation, though: best option ever.

After much testing I choose the 14-way seats. They are nothing short of brilliant ! It is the first car I can drive for more than an hour with my bad back without feeling run over by a train. I think you'll need to play around with the settings !

Settings have nothing to do with it: there isn't a "soft" setting or a "wide" setting so there's no way to make the firm, narrow edges softer or wider. Smaller people probably won't mind the seat but larger people are more likely to complain.

Make sure the lumbar is deflated. As the seats warm up they seem to mold to your shape. The best seat mod. is a fit body because your feet are up high. Try warming up the seat with the seat heater button.
