Pretty silly article. I think most of us on the forum drive these cars for ourselves, not because of what we hope someone else will think. One of the coolest things, though, is when I'm sitting a red light in Manhattan and a little kid will cross the street with a parent/ grandparent and point at my car, mouth agape. Reminds me of how lucky I am to be driving a car that I would have (and did) gawk over when I was a kid.

In terms of seeing girls in a nice car like a 911, I think it's hot. Actually, who cares what she drives lol. If she loves cars, more power to her.
Bravo to you sir!! A Porsche can sometimes be used as a weed-them-out tool.

Also, it doesn't bother me at all what people may think because I'm happy with my life.

Luckily my girl likes cars and sports cars especially. Maybe cause she grew up with three older brothers.
My ex hated that I bought sports cars. To her it was a waste of money.
As much as I love my sports cars and cars in general your ex is right. But hey that never stopped me from buying $100K cars.

I don't even talk to women who drive the car made for sheeple no matter how good she looks. And I would much rather walk than drive one of those cars. I won't even get in a cab run on batteries. Would rather hitch hike.

honestly, as a beater, theyre great cars. you can goto ghetto areas, park on the street etc. and not care if anything happens to it. if you don't want to be too flashy and stay low key, it works well. gets 45-50mpg and not to mention Toyota was blowing them out for $250 month, zero drive off not that long ago. my friend leased one and it paid for itself in the gas he was saving by not driving his rover or cayman everyday. but they sluggish and no fun to drive. ive maxed out my buddies prius at 104-105 mph so they can eventually hit 100mph lol.
