Carrera 4 - Speed Governed at 139mph - remove?

My new Carrera 4 in use this weekend - noticed I was governed to 139 mph - any easy ways to remove this speed governor?

Thanks!

Are you sure there is a speed limiter on the car? I was under the impression that we don't have one.

Could this be from the tire psi being set at the 'comfort' level?

I don't think the "comfort" setting actually limits the speed. From what I remember, it gives you a warning message at ~165mph.

Hum - maybe a stiff foot that can't go down all the way? Maybe a water bottle under the accelerator? Maybe ...

I guess I'm not sure the intention of the post? Yes this is the techspec.. is there something about governors or limiters I'm missing?

139/140mph max.

Flat Road - My foot all the way down...car only has 12k miles on it.

Would not get faster than 140 was pulling me back. I was embarrassed not keeping up with an M3.

No warning lights....

Tire Pressure in proper range - Oil Temp seemed ok.

And No water bottle under pedal...LOL.

Not wanting to break sound barrier but I wish I could have gotten to like 155.

PDK or manual? Thinking if it's a stick, maybe the clutch is slipping? Something isn't right it should pull you right on up there!

Why am I getting a chuckle thinking about how you go to the dealer with a problem of not being able to exceed 140+... and how they would troubleshoot it.

I had a problem on my F430 that it wouldn't shift into 6th at anything over 5k rpm unless I double clutched it. The dealer told me they weren't going to be able to replicate that one very easily and said they'd have to let me test out their fix.

Yeah, doesn't sound normal at all. I'd get it checked out.

Make sure to tell the dealer rep that you were racing, and could not pull on, an M3. They'll expedite the repair process.
