Alright so when is the GTS coming out?
I hear 2015 for the Carrera GTS - but I hear only rumors. I WILL have a GTS, even if I must resort to a Cayenne GTS! Actually I drove one of those recently and I liked it, but it was missing the acceleration my Carrera S has. OK Panamera GTS, Boxster GTS, or Carrera GTS! Any info appreciated. Thanks.

No Cayenne GTS in 2015 I'm told. Its going through a refresh and the web is abuzz with the motor swap from V8 to forced v6. The Panny GTS is still N/A, I agree with you.

Who knows?
The 997.2 was released for the '09 model year.
The 997.2 GTS arrived in '11.
If history repeats itself, and the 991.2 doesn't arrive until '16, it could be '18 (shudder) before a GTS appears.
OTOH, the new Cayenne, Panamera and Boxster/Cayman were available in a GTS version much earlier in the model year. With the updated Panamera, the GTS version was available from day one.
With the 997, the GTS was the last variant to roll out, not long before the 991. It followed all the typical 911 permutations and multiple special edition 911's -- the Sports Classic and the Speedster. I think there may have been some sort of Club Sport as well.
So far, the 911 hasn't yet become available in the Targa (close!), GT3RS, or GT2 versions. I'd suspect we'll see all of those before we see a 991 GTS. The only special edition so far has been the 50th Anniversary.
I hope I'm wrong because I'd love my next 911 to be another GTS. But my current lease is up in March of next year and I'm pessimistic about the GTS being anywhere close. The fact that GTS versions of the other models came earlier in their cycles gives me my only ray of hope.
But when and if it becomes available - Porsche PLEASE keep the five-bolt wheels available, at least as an option. I had the centerlocks on my 997.2 GTS and I do NOT want to repeat that hassle. (Plus I already gave away the breaker bar and special lube for the hubs.)

Faster than the older models for sure. But that only means the new 911 will be getting a boost in power too. Isn't the 991.2 supposed to get a power bump?
