My 991 didn't come prepped per my request. *Unfortunately, the cars plastics and stickers, that come from Germany, had been removed and the car had been sitting at our lot from December 4 to the end of April when I picked her up. *Car has been exposed to sun, snow, hard water, possible railroad dust, etc. *The car needed a proper wash.

I asked the help of my good buddy Caesar and his shops facilities and we got to working. *We started with :

Adams Car Wash Shampoo w/Chemical Guys Microfiber Wash Mitt

Sonax Wheel Cleaner with a Microfiber to clean up the brake dust

Griots Speed Shine w/Griots clay bar

Wash again.

Menzerna Light Polish on Blue Finishing Pad

Finishing up with Opti-Coat.
The car looks stunning. *Here are some quick pics from the day.

Also installed my clear LED tails.

Here's the before shot.

Just raise the rear spoiler. Pop open the tabs on both sides and remove two T25 torx bolts.

And finished

Very happy with the outcome.

Clear bra goes on tomorrow. Sharkwerks x-pipe comes in a few weeks. I really want springs and a sport design duck tail.

Hopefully I can do both before summer really kicks in!

I couldn't not have one.* I have been driving too many Porsches and the Sport Design Steering wheel psychologically feels quicker than the Multi-Function steering wheel.* Not to mention that the paddles makes downshifting while flying into a corner so easy and fun.* Just feels fantastic.

I went with the Alcantara Sport Design Steering wheel.* I have had alcantara before and it is a pain in the ***, but purchased some alcantara cleaner from Phil over at Detailers Domain.

Since the removal of the multifunction steering wheel eliminates the volume controls as well as the controls to the TFT screen, I had to get the stalk that fits under the windshield wiper stalk.* This is not a simple plug and play.* I had to buy an entire new steering column switch.* It was a round bracket that had the control stalks for cruise control, turn signal, wiper control, as well as the stalk that controls the TFT screen.

That part # is 970613043501E0

Once installed, the steering wheel also has to be reprogrammed, to turn off the multifunction feature, the heated element, and has to be coded to display sport/sport plus/launch control.
Overall, I am in love.* The sport design wheel completely changes the car and makes it so much more fun to drive!

Was it expensive? Yes.* Was it worth every penny? Absolutely.
