Getting fewer Pcar waves in the 991?

Getting fewer Pcar waves in the 991?
I think perhaps it's because the 991 looks more like a boxster from the front. Its width is IMHO less 911-ish than prior generations. But I get fewer waves in the 991 from oncoming 911s then I did in the 997.
Maybe that will change in time?

I never wave at other Porsche drivers... If I did I'd be waving every 2 minutes. They are a dime a dozen here and most people would probably look at me strangely.
When I drove my Subaru WRX STi or my Jeep Rubicon I'd get a lot of waves from other owners.

just to clarfy
Just to clarify - my comments were limited to other 911s.
For whatever reason I don't really get or give waves from drivers of other Porsche sports cars. And obviously forget anything with 4 doors. Peppers and Pannys are awesome vehicles, but there isn't a bone in my body implored to wave at an SUV or sedan on a beautiful sunny day.
There's going to be a zillion macans on the road soon (I wonder if the name Cicada was ever considered by the board?). But do you really see that many 911s? Must be nice

Yep there are plenty of 911's on the roads around here.
And even more Cayenne's, Panamera's, Boxster's and Cayman's!!! Most people aren't enthusiasts and just buy them for the name or because they are trendy cars.

I live in Bergen County and we are spoiled, as is SoCal, with the amount of Porsches that are running around.
That being said, I tend to wave at every Porsche I see on the road. Being a salesman, I try to infuse my enthusiasm into my clients and potential clients. There is something special about owning a Porsche - any variant.
Once you're in the club, you are in it for life. I don't expect a wave back, but when I do, it makes my drive that much more enjoyable!

When I drive down to West Hollywood / Beverly Hills, I see a 991 every few streets. I saw a sweet 991 Turbo S the other day on La Cienega and I waved. The driver was a girl and looked like she was fresh from high school. At least she waved back!

More like fresh from the plastic surgeon in those parts of SoCal!

Here in New England, it's a lot different than southern CA--I don't see a lot of 911s on a daily basis, mostly Boxsters, Cayennes and Pannys. I will sometimes wave to Boxter people, always 911s and I see a red 944 pretty regularly and I like to wave because the driver always gets excited
I usually give M drivers the finger...
....only kidding

That made me crack up. When I had my E46 M3 I actually got a lot of waves from other owners. It seems like the M3 is more of an enthusiast's car. Though there are still plenty of clueless M3 owners around here as well.

Unless Pcar owners in the Toronto area are car enthusiasts, I find them to be huge Aholes!!!
They will actually ignore you if you pull up to a light or at a gas station I have found…mostly 911 owners.
In the winter you don't see many 911s here, but otherwise I see at least 5 a day.

Ya, I can't quite see myself waving like an enthusiastic kid (that's just how I picture it in my head, I'm aware that's not quite how it goes hah).
But I do give a nod of appreciation/recognition if the other driver initiates (this is for any sports car mind you).
There are a good number of 911s in the area and plenty of nice cars out and about with this nice weather we are having. Hoorah.

I hate that, drive a car b/c you love it not because of the badge.
