Coolest Kid in the Neighborhood

We can't all be as cool as you, so please bear with us.
Damn boy!

I was out for a drive yesterday, and I had no less than four young women behind me take pictures of the back of the car. Not sure if it was the Turbo factor or the license plate (FASTRNU), or both.
Usually, I see folks mouthing the plate, then they laugh when they finally get it.

And threads like this are definitely started in good fun. I think plenty of people would agree that a 911 is a "cool" car and there is nothing wrong with that.

rnl - you R cool! Of course, being from JerZ when I see some kids at the bus stop looking at my car, I don't think it will inspire them to succeed and buy there own - though I hope that that is the case. I think they are thinking, "Ok, he leaves at 7 am. So, if I am going to lift it, I have to get up earlier !

I actually do a "carpool" duty few days a wk with my 9 years old son and his classmate, our neighbors daughter.. All the kids at the school reception duty leave all other cars and compete to get to mine to open up the door-- my son is one of the coolest kids of his elementary school now

Some people just gotta hate.
When I leave in the morning, some of the kids are waiting at the stop sign at the end of my street. If I can turn into traffic without stalling, that's good enough for me.

Yeah there are some that will argue endlessly about performance minutia between various 911's AMG, M's, Corvettes like it is religion. And want to sell their 911 because it has 10 less HP than something else that is new.. but that is a small portion of the 911 buyers..
The reality is, a 911 of almost any generation is instantly recognizable by all but the most oblivious car driving adults. And that is because of it's history, and sense of style that has continuity. Few "civilians" can tell the difference between a 996, 997 or 991.. But they can tell you it's a 911..
More than once I've gotten out of my car, and someone walking by just blurt's out with a smile.. "ah.. a Porsche-a".. I've had BMW's, Mercedes, etc and never a comment..
A plain old base 911 It is a cool car.. but in a different and subtle way than an exotic like a Lambo or Mclaren which on the street screams look at me look at me..

+1 Agree, 911 is a cool car.. And I'd argue the reason behind the majority of people who buy them..

My daughter doesn't want me to drop her off at school anymore. She would prefer to just keep the car at her college.
