Tire Pressures for Track Use

Have a track day coming up. Bone stock C2S. What pressures do you recommend at the track?

Thanks
Roy

38 hot is a good starting point.

On my 997.2 S I try and keep the rear tires a little under 40, so 38 is good, and my front tires about 2 lbs less than the rears. I'm a novice so I don't know if that's exactly right, but it should be close.

I start at 31/34 cold, the comfort setting and monitor throughout the sessions. Never felt a need to adjust, maybe I am leaving some traction on the table though.

If you have little experience, 34/38 is a great starting place. Learn how to drive the car first. You'll get the feel of it and learn how to adjust pressures later.

40 hot all around. I keep adjusting after each session.

I have seen that once it gets >40 the tires start squealing.

I have a stock 991S with MPSS, after wearing out the Pirelli's. I agree that 38 to 40 hot is about right. When the tires get over 40, they have noticeably less grip. I find that cold pressures of 28 front and 30 cold work out pretty well, although I often start at 30/32 and bleed off a couple of psi after the first session.
