Great ideas all. Thanks to everyone again. Much of my rationale was based on price - although many would say that if the extra 10 to 20K is problematic than I should NOT be purchasing it anyway. I set a number in my head and would not like to cross that line - the C4 allows me to do that.

The 911 is, supppsedly, not about the power, so a base gives you a 911 for less cost. Its a good option.
Another way to look at it is, if the base is not fast enough for you, the S wont be either.
So the choice is really between a base and a Turbo S. LOL - JK.

Saving on a base now, makes it easier to upgrade to a Turbo later ; )

 

I suppose one could wait for the 991.2 version and see what increase in power the base model receives .
