OEM black headlights look sharp. I think the Xpel black tint is too much (for my tastes at least) but of course the tinted look wasn't the OP's motivation in putting it on.

Not my thing, love the black PDLS though.

To dark for me. Too much contrast.

This doesn't look good at all. Second it is illegal just because some cops won't bother you doesn't mean others won't. Third there is no way something that dark isn't cutting off your light more than you think. I thought the same when I tinted my head lights then I took it off and it was night and day. Remove the tint, your car isn't a honda civic. There is a reason porsche gives you the option to have a black housing. That is the way to go if you want a tint.

I like the tinted look, however I think yours is a little too dark. Question- did you have to remove the headlamps to put the film on.

I'm not sure why I think this is so much different than tinting a car's window, but the tinting of head and taillights seems really stupid to me. In my opinion, it doesn't look good, and you are muting the function of the lights. Tinting headlights doesn't even occur to me to be an option, but tinting taillights seems really dumb. Why would you want to improve the odds of someone rear-ending you? Oh, and did I mention it doesn't look good? I'm all for the black trim/wheels/accessories look, but not tinting the lights.

No, in this case I kept the light assemblies in place -- you can remove and apply the vinyl, but I think it might be more difficult holding on to the headlight unit while working the material across -- and I would be worried about dropping or somehow damaging. I've had these units out of the car, and they are clunky and not balanced, so having them topple over on the table or whatever is a definite possibility if you are applying the vinyl with them out.

And yes, I also feel this is a bit more dark, certainly more than I had expected. But as I've said previously, I like to experiment! So I went with the dark option, at least for now!

Afterall, how does one know the limits without hitting them once in a while?

FWIW, following are a few more recent pics, taken in better lighting and with the headlamps turned on. In my garage against the wall I looked at the brightness, and while definitely diminished, it wasn't significant enough that I am worried about visibility, etc.
