+1 This is correct. On a previous purchase the wrap was taken off the bumper and a significant scratches (requiring repaint) were noted on the bumper.

I like to peel that vinyl stuff off before I leave the lot. I leave that clear sticky goop on until I get home. Really only had a chance to do this twice. This is the only way I know the guy with the pressure washer has not gone down the line and washed every car including mine with the same rag full of grit. You know that guy I am talking about.
