Will my car go into the test-drive pool?

Will my car go into the test-drive pool?
Hey all, I got the call yesterday...my baby is ready for pickup! Only problem is that I can't get there until Monday...argh. Now I'm wondering if my car goes into the test drive pool for the next 48 hrs until I pick it up. Anyone here familiar with dealer procedures when it comes to these things? Do they allow built-to-order cars to be test driven?
Now like a lot of you, I would have cleared my schedule for delivery day, but the car arrived two weeks early. Can't stand the thought of not being the first one to drive my car! waaaaahhhh

I was told that dealers do NOT let other people drive a purchased car, so you should be safe. They migh show it but no driving. No harm in requesting that they don't let anybody drive it if you are worried though.
And I'm sure you will love it when you pick it up!

Any good sales rep will protect his customers car. And his sale.
My sales rep personally parked my car aside, but a couple orange cones around it, and checked it all over for imperfections. We had discussed upfront how picky I am. He made sure my car was touched by me only.

I had a similar experience to John and Brad. My dealer won't even put a "customer's delivery" on the showroom floor-let alone test put them in the test pool-for fear of damage. The SA and SM told me they aren't "allowed" to. I've been to other dealers where there's a "sold" card on the dash, so I assume this is a dealer-level decision. Or, that the car was an inventory car, that happened to have been sold off-the-floor, before they could get it out of the showroom. I am going to assume this is a dealer-specific scenario though. Looks like your SA is taking care of you though, as they should.
Enjoy in good health.

Maybe not the test pool, but maybe a 150mph plus joy ride with some of the shop guys or detailers! It will be broken in upon delivery! No extra charge.
Those shop guys have a trick that won't even show any mileage on the odometer. I'd chalk the tires to see if it was moved.

They shouldn't drive it and put it aside.
That being said I did have a horror story happen to my pre-purchased Porsche prior to pick up in the past. I will not bring it up and hopefully you will be enjoying your Porsche very soon!

He is not being mean just realistic. The first Viper I "bought" was put into a wall by a tech before pickup. They had a darn sign on the shifter saying no driving by anyone but the owner. It was a interesting day.
The porsche guys are very good, I have even had a dealer pull a used car off the lot for me for two days when I could not get out quick enough.

Tell it to this Ferrari owner.
STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - A rare Ferrari Enzo sports car has been heavily damaged in a crash on Interstate 95.
State police tell the Stamford Advocate the car was being driven by a technician for Miller Motorcars, a Greenwich-based luxury car dealership, when it crashed on an interstate entrance ramp on Monday morning.
Police say the 650-horsepower car began to fishtail on the northbound entrance ramp, struck the a bridge wall, then spun across three lanes of traffic and crashed into the center divider.
The driver and a passenger escaped serious injury.
Ferrari built fewer than 400 of the cars, which are each valued at more than $600,000.
Michael *** of New Jersey, a multimillionaire who made his fortune in mattresses, owns this one.
The dealership declined to comment on the accident.
