The "911 Carrera S" was too much spaghetti for me - taking off PORSCHE would have left too much blank pasture.

Had the badges custom painted and put on. Wasn't a fan of the chrome.

Bought a new set since the double sided tape is shot when taking the old ones off.

Whenever we do any paint correction, we simply remove them, and re-install new ones. Only way to do it if you're OCD

Remove them if you find it aesthetically pleasing. Q-tips and cotton ***** are a great option for between the lettering. If you're OCD, like many of us, the quick detailer spray on the q-tip or on the cotton ball and a little bit of light elbow grease should do the trick.

I personally preferred debaged vehicles. Just seems cleaner/neat to me. Nothing pulling the eye away from the lines of the vehicle.

These cars look great no matter what's on the decklid. It's all up to the owner's preference. I opted to keep my stock badging as-is.

I use cotton swab around the letters, a pain, but gets the job done

I was so worried when I ordered my car that the back had just too much lettering on it. Specifically the superfluous "911 Carrera" part. I got over that part. But I agree that you shouldn't totally debadge it. Leave something on there like "PORSCHE" which is a factory option anyways. It just needs to be recentered. There is just too much empty space that it looks strange. Unlike the 997, which had a panel line going through the middle of the back, the 991 is just empty space.
Here's a link to a pic posted on rennlist. Granted I thought the 997 didn't need debadging either.

I decided to not de-badge the car and left it alone. Thank you for the Q-tip advice, I will give that a try.

Get hold of a small detailers brush. They come toothbrush style and pointed style. Bristles are made of hogs hair or horsehair, usually. They won't scratch. Makes the job super fast. I spray quick detailer over the badge, brush it out and wipe dry with a microfiber towel. 30 seconds to perfection!

Oh, and never, EVER, use a toothbrush. Scratch city!

Heat emblems with heat gun or blow dryer.

Use dental floss to get between the letters/numbers pull through. You might need tar remover to get rid of remaining adhesive. There are plenty of how to's on YouTube, but here is a good one:
