Soliciting Opinions - Rear Reflector Finish
#1
My Basalt Black C2 has clear tail lights. I like the look, but can't seem to reconcile the tail reflectors which are of course red. I intend to vinyl wrap them but am struggling with the choices. I can go with the following: Carbon Fiber - black shades either 3 or 4 D or Carbon fiber - Silver shades 3 D or Gloss black. The carbon fiber black will blend in with bumper, but not sure how it will look. The carbon fiber silver will standout against the bumper but match the clear lens and the silver Porsche & 911 Carrera insignia, along with the chrome tailpipes (not shown in image). These materials are not expensive & I can afford to spend $5 on each, but I don't have an eye for this sort of thing. Would love some opinions. Frank C.

Also, you may already be aware, but most states require two red reflectors on the rear bumper.

Just curious, since our cars operate with lights on, don't we have two reflectors in the tail light. My clear lens light glow red at at all times (when ignition is on) It seems to me that these laws were written prior to the day when cars could operate with no lights shining in the rear. Perhaps this pertains to being parked on a dark road. Personally, I think I have a better chance of winning Lotto than a police officer citing me for no reflective red lens.

As far as the reflectors go, here are a couple of our Acura's ('13 & '14) complete w/reflectors....I think along with being the law in WA, it's vehicle requirement
everywhere.
You play - you may pay out here.

Aesthetically, that' may be your best bet. A dark tint might get you close enough to blend in, while still complying with the reflector requirement. I've had both dark and medium tint taillights, and most of the time, they look black. At $5 a pop, I wouldn't be afraid to experiment.
