Agate GTS pics

I went down and had a look at my GTS yesterday and finalized all the paperwork, ready to bring her home later this week if the weather holds. It was the first time I've seen her all cleaned and ready to roll, and the first time my wife had seen it at all. I waffled quite a bit over the colour when I was ordering, but I'm very happy with the appearance of the grey and black, the contrast, and just how the car appears overall. It truly is gorgeous, at least to my eyes.

Anyway, pics don't do it justice, as it is a difficult colour to capture, but these pics are pretty close to how it appears in real life so I thought I'd get a few up here just in case others considering this colour. I found there seemed to be a shortage of agate GTS pics when I was doing my research. Most of the early release pics were Carmine red, white, yellow, etc... all gorgeous, of course!!! But I've always loved grey/black and wanted that for myself.

Now I've gotta try to sit tight until I can get it home without sliding off the road or getting peppered with rocks and gravel!!!

Cheers guys.

Ross

Gorgeous car, and great color choice! I was also wondering what the Agate would look like on a GTS with the black wheels -- and no surprise it looks awesome!

One question tho- in the rear-end pics, the engine cover grill in black appears to also have chrome edge, like on the 911_50? Or is it just the light playing tricks on my eyes? I thought the GTS wouldn't get the chrome edge accents on the cover?

Thanks again for posting the pics and can't wait to see more!

It's just the light... they are black with sort of polished trailing edges which catches the light in pics. In real life it just looks black. I love the black grill and the contrast so I was very pleased that there is enough contrast with the agate.

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I'm ridiculously pumped. I cannot wait to bring her home now that she's all ready, but it's going to be a very long winter. I was thinking of getting them to swap out the orange side markers to clear while it sits there.

Cheers

Great Color. It's a shame to have to expose it to the hostile winters in Alberta.

That's for sure!!! I think I'm gonna sort of baby this one... my previous car was a C4S Cab and I drove it a little in the winter, but clearance was always a problem. I don't think I'm going to let this one see snow at all, other than when I bring her home. As long as the weather holds, this week should be ok, but as you know their use of "sand" on the road in Alberta is a joke... it's more pea-gravel than anything and those rocks are like little bullets!

Cheers

Superb build, that Agate looks so right with the GTS package. Well done.

Congrats! Will have to compare notes when spring rolls around. Way too much gravel to drive, even on warm days.
