Normally, as the US dollar increases in value, consumers in the US can expect the cost of imported goods to go down. That said, I doubt Porsche will drop their prices because they want to remain "exclusive", and they prefer profit margin to volume (at least when it comes to the 911 model). Do any "old-timers" remember a time when Porsche actually decreased their prices on the 911 in the USA as a result of a strengthening of the dollar?

 

You won't see a price decrease. It will show up as a positive line item on their balance sheet.

 

And if the strong dollar holds you might find some additional "options" become standard with no or only slight price increase as well as use of that for transition to the new models.

There is an offsetting problem in that the value of the Euro is going down vis a vis most currencies thus Porsche's costs will increase probably more than the dollar might result in a decrease.
